• Ken and his father were awesome hosts. From the start, they were so friendly and welcoming that I didn't feel awkward at all renting the car. Communication was also fuss free and I could always ask anything if I have doubts. Ken's father took time to explain the features of the car prior to the rental. Ken also constantly checked with me if everything was fine. The car was comfy and clean and the drive was great! It was such a dream to drive the E-class. Very thankful for this experience and I hope to rent again in the future!

• Best bit - Ken is a great host to deal with! Rather good condition for an older car, needed another ride to ferry my old folks around in comfort and this fit the bill nicely. Coming from a Prius, a 320 and a Euro R... this is a very different beast. My personal preference would be to ride not drive this. Thank you Ken for making my first Drivelah experience a good one!

The classic Mercedes was also a joy to drive: incredibly well maintained, clean and comfortable. Although it’s an 11 year old car, I daresay the driving experience surpasses many modern cars. • Overall it has been a satisfying enlightening experience driving this classic Mercedes-Benz & the interesting & pleasant conversations with Ken, his generosity in sharing his family car ! Nice to note he recently 'renovated' the car by installing a modern touch-screen display with car status & big reversing camera view, which i find very welcome feature to have. Despite the 12 years age & 6-figure mileage the car 'feels' & drives like many far newer cars even better than much of the other brands. NVH overall is commendably low (for a fossil car bearing in mind this is not an EV) with the engine largely inaudible as long as not exceeding 2000 rpm. The interior noise perception then becomes (unfortunately) fairly largely dependent on the road surfaces being driven on i.e. the lack or insufficient of some 'bulkhead insulation medium' integrated into the bodyshell design to 'absorb' or 'cancel out' the tyre roar noises seems apparent here. It's obvious the car has been physically very well kept overall speaking despite some (largely unobvious from a distance) minor scratches & 'surface imperfections' on the rear end bumper & that missing ash tray cover on the rear right door...which honestly didn't bother me at all since i don't smoke any way & have no use for it as such. Normally speaking, i would have easily rated my experience with this car as not less than 5-stars maybe even 6 stars..as should be for a Mercedes-Benz as far as i'm concerned being a long time user of since 1972 ! BUT i do have some real concerns on the accuracy reliability of the fuel gauge..which only became obvious to me towards the end of my trip usage..the indicator showed half-tank balance the previous nite while suddenly showing full tank next day BEFORE i even refilled ?!? But very reassuring to hear from Ken that he intends to get this faulty fuel gauge fixed asap, because as i honestly told him, that can affect one's peace of mind & confidence in driving this car anywhere...as the last thing to imagine is to avoid being stranded by the road side due to lack of fuel, which can come about if one wasn't alert of the consumption history & merely just glancing the fuel gauge occasionally ...which actually happened to our own Australian Holden Torana 2.6 GTR car many years ago..that's why i didn't forget ?! To finish off my review, i like to thank Ken for lending his 'old type' cash card for insertion into the IU device as my 'new type' card wouldn't work. Also, i do owe him a car wash due to my drives over some wet patches of road from after some unexpected rainfall. But Ken generously 'waived' off these costs after noting my concerns expressed over the fuel gauge reliability issue.
