• Car is working great but within minutes of driving it home, I felt a cockroach crawl up my leg and saw another one inside when I parked. This made driving unsafe as I am scared of cockroaches. I reported it immediately and asked for a replacement car, but received no timely response and no follow-up until I returned the vehicle. Book only if you love cockroaches.

• Before confirming the booking, I clarified with the host about the mileage limit, as I was planning to drive to Malacca and Desaru. The host verbally assured me that exceeding the mileage would not be an issue. However, upon returning the vehicle, I was unexpectedly charged for the extra mileage. This was disappointing and felt misleading, given the prior assurance. As for the car itself, it started off well and seemed in good condition. However, while driving on the highway, I experienced a serious issue with the gearbox. It overheated during an overtaking maneuver, causing the gear to disengage temporarily before reengaging with a noticeable jerk. This resulted in a significant loss of power and made the driving experience quite stressful. Overall, I expected more reliable performance from the vehicle—especially when they are listed for long-distance travel (“Drive to KL”).

• First time renting with drive lah and Roy has been a fantastic host. Answered all my queries before the trip, gave me pointers on what to note for pre trip report and even answered my call when I had issues with the pickup. Roy is also incredibly easy going and flexible with the booking specifics. Car was a pleasure to drive, 205bhp for when you need it and a real low growl from the engine. Interior was incredibly clean and the provided cables were a lifesaver for using carplay. Sensors and aircon all working great too! Highly recommended to rent with Roy and thanks again!
