Theodore•August 2025•
Well maintained car; good value. But my experience was unlike anything I encountered before in more than a dozen DriveLah trips. When I arrived from the airport for pick up, the host said she would not meet me at the multistorey carpark (as indicated earlier in the instructions) and that I would have to meet her at the bottom of her block. When I met her and asked her where the car was parked, she said she did not know and that I should go to every floor of the MCP and press the remote to find the car. I would not have minded if she had apologised for the inconvenience. Perhaps there had been some miscommunication within her family that resulted in her being in the dark about the car’s location. But she expressed no remorse. When I asked if she thought it reasonable to ask a renter to go hunting for a car, she replied that other guests do it. (Fortunately the car was on level 1B and not 4B.) So, overall, if you choose to rent this car you should have a detailed conversation with the host first to ensure that the pick-up process has no surprises.
